They have to start focusing on side characters in this story. They have already established MC as the strongest character second to the Goddess. There is a Demon King that may or may not be a threat somewhere but otherwise there is nothing outside of social challenges to challenge the MC. Kingdom building and side characters is what this story is going to be about for a long time I wager.

I hate how I watched this in the Anime before reading it in the Manga, love the series but I wish the Manga would catch up sooner
