From the comments it seems everybody has forgotten that level cap is not enough for an immediate evolution, and even if he could, it’s a process that takes time.
But It really seems hard to win this fight with barely 10% HP and only 2 MP left…

Evil, evil is what I am. This series seemed bad at first, but now it’s starting to really pickup. I’m enjoying the direction it seems to be going, and I hope it continues to grow and become even better than how it is now. Not that it’s bad by any means.
Bro is fighting like an human in his monster form… His claws are sharper than a sword and yet he punches and slashes with his sword? come on just act like a monster, use the fight to change shape and sneak attack 
That said, they accidentally increased his max MP from 76 to 79 near the top of the chapter
