When I heard the Duke now has an speech impediment I started laughing. Not making fun of people who have them, but in his case, that’s poetic justice. Imagine the ridicule he’d face talking in public after all his self righteousness. Honestly screw him. Hope the author has something worse in store for him.
Wow. Even her sister is so far out of the loop of Maxi’s life. Somewhat understandable tho, their father is a controlling, hateful monster. Once Maxi tells him (please don’t let that be months), Riftan should make plans for defense and a counterattack. That way, Maxi’s POS father will be clearly seen as the one in the wrong and–hopefully–the King will have no choice but to side with Riftan as the wronged party who was willing to back down.
Of course sis is playing the game, she wants to be queen after all…
