Oh so the violence was instigated by someone. We’ve had a lot of examples of that in the past 2 years. The unearned, general hatred for the protests is also something pretty fresh.
It mostly comes from media constantly watering down their rhetoric to slogans and fear-mongering, repeating lines like “they are hurting the economy (scary number!)” and “rioting and looting (the police didn’t start it, we promise <3)”. Continuing until the protesters either look like hippies with too much time or criminals that one brave soldier with a car has to defeat to save the economy.
I really want to see what the author comes up with to have the media water down the lobotomy factories and the crippling fear of everyone now being abused by their companies because they wouldn’t dare quit.
