I’m not sure if I’m naïve to think that the author wants to write out of convenience for now to show Blake that John wanted to make a difference. John was already shown to have self restraint against the people like those, the author could’ve shown John showing more mercy to the “High-ranker’s” and I feel like Blyke still would’ve realized that John has made some great progress on restraining himself.

I can’t believe John is weaker than Sera. I thought John’s power when we was still in middle school was already 7.0. He should be, at least, 8.0 by now considering the level up of other characters from middle school.
