The long of the short is: Normally you only get about 1% there, that is IF you live until 120.
With the assumption that people will have less time while in school, and even less while working.
Then training diminish starting from 60 (where he finally can invest as much time as during school) due to aging.
With training 1/10 as effective when reaching 120.
But to reach a somewhat useful level you need around at least 10%.
1% is good enough for party tricks.
And that is why it is seen as useless. And usually actually is.

Wait up, Telekinesis here quite OP b/c he can control living things (or maybe he just controls inanimate object like the person clothes)
like your usual manga, that skill Telekinesis probably useless b/c it consumes a lot of Mana while not doing so much at early stage.
