The mc is fixated about saving his ‘future’ girlfiend and he asked to be reborn in order to change the future to do that. We get that. But in the present he’s made friends with Magica, and he ‘knows’ that she is going to be killed by the Church in the future. He probably ‘knows’ enough to point her in the right direction away from that end, but instead of trying to do something to help her he’s just going to let her walk off and leave her to her fate. At the moment I’m feeling more for squirrel girl than the mc, and zero for the yet to appeare ‘girlfriend. It doesn’t seem particularly clear where this is going at the moment.
