Ah yes, the Romance Genre Brexit (I am using “brexit” here to describe a situation where someone wants to fulfill 3 conditions, but only two of which are physically possible at a time, and fulfilling all 3 is literally impossible):
-can’t delay confession for too long
-can’t write a good “we’re dating” plot and needs the plotstate to be “does she like me”
-can’t end the story here because they need to make money

No wonder we see the exact same thing every single manga.

Hmm… No affection in public and no affection in private… This guys isn’t even a virgin anymore. Why is he still acting like he is. The same unrealistic gag over and over again just isn’t funny.
