I’m just guessing here, but maybe the original red death isn’t actually doing most of the killings, probably none at all. This is based from all the red death clones that the organization uses. So maybe OG red death is nothing more than a figurehead or source of power for tianxiang garden, and they keep making clones of her with her powers as they can’t exactly use OG red death herself (OG red death resisting maybe?). Also, this vice-leader seems to be the one pulling the strings (she is the real leader). So vice leader maybe brainwashes OG red death, makes clones of her to use her power and uses her as a figurehead.
Though I’m not sure as OG red death seems to have amnesia so this is just a guess. Or maybe the brainwashing weakened and OG red death effectively became her “real self”. OG red death acts like a kid so probably she was brainwashed as a kid. This all just my guess though. Just waiting for the truth to unfold.
