I’m going to say something that will make some people mad. I don’t think I like the way this story is going. It seems like the entire story will take place with her as a child.

I would welcome that if that’s what the story chose, but it often Retcons the fights characters get themselves into, as Seol oftentimes ends up saving the day anyway. So why have her not be central to the story if she’s still driving the plot forward? If you time-skip until she’s at least the age of young Goku, her powers solving problems will at least be part of the plot, and not a Deus ex Machina.

Imagine if instead of Goku fighting King Piccolo as a child, it was his adoptive grandfather Gohan who fought him, and just as King Piccolo was about to land the killing blow, Goku showed up, and easily killed him. Now imagine every fight is like that. This is why the conflicts in this story frustrate me.

This latest conflict I see forming feels like it’ll be a repetitive arc, mirroring the previous one. I would just rather she be trained and start to lead the battles.
