Or, alternatively, both are correct, but it’s just that you’ve somehow jumped to a different point in space, or a different dimension. There’s a lot of possibilities – the whole world, even people, being a simulation is practically impossible to do – even a computer the size of the universe couldn’t simulate a universe and all of its subatomic interactions itself.

Honestly, I hate the “Universe is a simulation” theory. It just makes everything that has ever happened sound like a pointless joke.

With the simulation theory he could have glitched from one simulation to another.
Also the size of the computer would depend on how it works, at this time quantum computers are more powerful then normal computers two or more times the size. What if there is something using the particles of the simulated universes as data packets.
Honestly it makes more sense then people following “leaders” who would kill them if they make mistakes.
