Because it depends on the sickness. Suppose if the sickness affects the stomach or any part of the digestive system, eating more would only complicate matters. E.g: indigestion, and prolonged fevers (the heat denatures the digestive enzymes)

Why give her less food if she doesn’t feel well isn’t it the other way around because when I am sick just feed me a lot and I’d be good
