In the anime these 2 were like friends from a game who have met up irl, but in this and in the previous chapter, they are more like partners who would go out with a bang together (in a non-sexual way) just to save others.
I’m not saying that the anime didn’t do justice to them, but in a manga format, you can just have these small bits and understand their bromance a bit more. I already look forward to the next chapter (which luckily came together with this one \o/).
