Wait if almost everyone here is so strong and even the boatman is stronger than general, why does MC know and care that the two on the hill were and could’ve been immense help to the survival of humanity

Really dislike it when people blame the story, when there are hundreds ways to explain any question or “plot hole”, instead of continuing reading the story. .
