Like if this is seriously how they reward “Hero” generals who single fight the war for you, why would anybody with talent stick around?! The Princess should have married him, he earned at least the title of Prince Regent.
They also keep talking about “giving him honors will anger the nobility.” Seriously?! Entire noble houses were made extinct in the succesion war that just ended. The surviving nobles should be crying tears of joy that their noble house isn’t in ruins.
Queen has no backbone, and doesn’t reward talented individuals. She will not be on the throne for long.
Go ahead cross him, your kingdom will be bloodstained ash at the end.
