He was better off carrying some weapons and applying chilli pepper on the sharp sides (bone weapons are the best possible alternative in a place like this, unless you find obsidian and know the technique to create a weapon with it)

Probably using a torch could have been a good idea (although running with it is a stupid idea due to potentially being discovered), like the one that he can easily light up, by making it from the fats of the goblins, although it might smell bad unless covered with a skin so better to make a tap with a skin of the goblins

Also, a slingshot could have been made with some basic armour to protect vitals. I think I would have dissected most of the goblins to see which areas are their vitals. Although it might look like torture, it is for research after all

Making some sound-producing instrument like a whistle that mimics their screams by using their vocal cords

Checking how levelling up works and how much I should contribute before it gives exp and so on

Any other ideas?
