I’ve always wondered this. Is it translation, a trend or just weak writing that everything the adventurers murder, hunt or kill is called “subjugation”. Hunt weak monsters=Monster subjugation. Hunt dungeon monsters=Dungeon subjugation. Find bandits=Bandit subjugation. And so on. Do the writers do that to de-humanize the hunting of other intelligent species or did it somehow become a trend with a popular anime some time back? Same with dungeon break/stampede, none of that terminology existed too long ago or wasn’t used often.
