If there’s one thing I like about this story, is how good it is at conveying that its themes are not simple.
Emma is right; hate and the arbitrary notions of the world we’ve made keep us bound and tunred against each other for no damn reason. Cynics will tell idealists to shut up and deal with the real world and ina ccpeting it like it is, they ensure the world will never improve.
Peter is right too. Humanity seldomly needs good reasons to screw itself up. There’ll always be someone who wants to be above others (or, at least, wants others to be beneath them) even if they get no real beenfit form that, because being above also means being safer.
