I disagree that all girls in a harem are dumb. I think the author is trying to point out that the girls in a harem are unique but not dumb. Imagine some king, prince, or billionaire, a harem of dumb girls would be boring AF. If you have a harem of girls with different personalities would get your heart pumping like hell.
