Author is like, “Oops, I guess shounen series are supposed to have villains, let’s tie them to the MC by… having them be responsible for MC’s village”
like, why would MC care who killed the great-grandchildren of the guys who sacrificed him. and why would the female leads suddenly know this (and not mention it earlier, or choose any other example of why angel’s are strong)
And, isn’t it more interesting to have the village just degrade over time, so that MC can encounter knock-on effects of like here’s a mystery journal or so-and-so’s descendant. Instead the author blows his load…
