I do appreciate the author showing, not telling. The kingdom taking him out preemptively seemed excessive especially since there were real threats still around. But his annoyance at one wagon missing cargo caused an earthquake. He IS undoubtedly a danger to tge people around him, even if he doesn’t intend to be. That’s pretty neat that the author did that.
