Perhaps the dumbest trope I’ve seen in all of the many manhwa I’ve read is showing the end result of a short arc as a quick flash forward and then something like, “3 days earlier…” In this case as in most cases it accomplishes absolutely nothing for the narrative except letting the reader know exactly what’s going to happen until the story catches up to the flash forward. It’s especially dumb in this case because they immediately show the antagonist who brings about that end. There’s zero suspense, we know where it’s going, why the fuck do these authors think it’s a good decision?
