I think the author was taking a couple months off. It just finished posting up to this point on Webtoons, so maybe a couple more weeks?

The problem isn’t that it rides tropes.
The problem isn’t that it’s predictable.
The problem is that the author executed poorly what’s supposed to be a staple story.
Worse than its predecessors in every way.
If you have time to burn and don’t mind turning the brain off – go for it.

I read to chapter 38…

Then had an enlightenment…

One behaviour in some manga/manhwa/manhua is for certain characters to hold both clenched fists up to their chest in anxiety or anticipation.
It’s a bit unnatural… or at least you’re extremely unlikely to see people behaving like this.
Even for a fantasy story, certain human behaviours need to be realistic.

It doesn’t happen equally with all artists or stories but has an increased prevalence in more younger age stories…
i.e. childish stories have childish behaviour.

This has quite a few times like that.

The story is unsurprising and unchallenging.
The MC is not a psychopath or a narcissist… but the side characters have no personality… unless you count both fists held to the chest as personality.

As others have said… it’s perfectly mid… and… “4.6/5 is truly overrated”

This is perfectly mid, you are burnt out on tropes and cliches, go elsewhere. This is not bad at all!! :drum:

Man, so generic. That my honest review, there no interest in world building for me, fantasy medieval, evil cult, and so on.

This plot so predictable, MC finding strong enemies – > barely survive – > got rescued by his strong allies / acquired new skill (for sake of plot)- > repeated

MC fighting small foes – > overpowered them – > in the end of killing their leader – > strong boss appeared – > MC got overwhelmed by enemies – > his strong allies coming

I read 100 chapters so far, and the formula keep repeating, and it’s boring. I know MC cold hearted and don’t hesitate Killing his opponent that plus from the other series, but still Naive MC, always being careless for sake of plot, and underestimated his opponent boss because he last survivor or whatsoever in his 3rd life.

Idk why it deserved 4.7? For this site 4.4-4.5 it’s suitable for this manhwa because of predictable plot.
