He did all that instead of letting the guy just take his body and be done with it. We had to get an annoying illusion for 2 to 3 extra chapters for no reason. Plus this MC needs help with everything. He has literally not a single mental fortitude. I bet you at the end of this entire book is when his last shackles will probably break in the middle of a crisis fighting those angels.
