My second working theory has more backing now. Its not confirmed but what she says makes sense. Remembering back, Yuri had several people under her charm including the MC’s brother. She was likely trying to either have a fallback plan or manipulate him too. She seduces all of the future major figures in the area and she suddenly has enough power to essentially rule the entire kingdom.
