Once upon a time poor people would eat pigeons, thus in the US at least, the rich decided to make hunting them illegal.
They claimed it was public safety, but when you hire exterminators to control the population through poison, it shows they really don’t want people eating them because they can’t make money from it.

Pretty sure people use to eat pigeons, they’re mostly an issue these days because all the predators are gone in urban areas and we just don’t kill them.
My point is I’m pretty sure they would have done something by now lol. Traps would work, but the real question….. do they not have any projectile weapons?? What about small bows?

I don’t know what he was shooting, but it looked like pellet rifle and they do not need compressed air. They fire like a regular gun just 1000 times less powerful.
