Summary
A brief description of the manga An Active Hunter in Hokkaido Has Been Thrown into a Different World:
In modern Hokkaido a brown bear has appeared near an elementary school, so a member of the local hunters’ association is dispatched to exterminate it. However he gets killed by the bear and wakes up in a fantasy world, armed with only the Remington M870 shotgun he had when he died.

After reading 16.5 chapters I am in a bit of a quandary. I don’t know if this was written by a Japanese who is an American gun nut or an American gun nut writing a Japanese manga. The reason I say this is two fold. The first is that they are very technical in explanation of said guns and the second is they are extremely lax (or non-existent) in gun safety, handling and use. IE: the shotgun used in the first 10’ish chapters, you never put a scope on it unless you are using it with solid slug for extreme ranged shooting and even then, hardly ever because shotguns (apart from those specifically modified to reduce kick) have very short range in bullets, have such a kick that you jar the alignment of the scope out after a few shots and most ammunition for the shotgun is aoe (sort of like trying to put a scope on a staff and firing fireballs to hit a target, would look sick as though lol). The storyline is fun to read and different enough to keep your interest though but it does get very dialogue heavy in a couple of places where you just want to skip through fast. The best parts to read in this manga where the half chapters funny enough. They where absolutely hilarious in what they portrayed. I must warn all that in chapter 4.2 is that SOMEONE took a liberty at the end of the chapter, which is just plain wrong in so, so, so many ways. Interesting read for some spare time and will mark it to see how it develops in later chapters but it will never be a great story because (and I am sad to say this) guns in fantasy or historical settings can unravel entire worlds and their progression line (just look at GATE: fantasy -> Roman Era -> modern JSDF and that’s the easiest amalgamation manga, there are others that is way worse).

There might be even more on others sites
It’s fun and entertaining, and gets more things right than wrong.
Can be summarized as elf wife and American guns.
Amusing, simple, immersive, and decent for RP Ideas. I quite love this one.
It’s not for people with overly high standards, expecting great things from every manga.
It’s not your typical Isekai either, however it’s something I find enjoyable while resting.

dear me, dont reread this.
