This is literally military-grade technology. The capability to send instant messages and receive instant replies would give any army in a pre-radio setting an extreme advantage on everyone else.
Considering that their kingdom is also the only one who make make this tech work, Zenjirou should demand (but he won’t) an exclusive supplying agreement with his own kingdom.
