Interesting! I was wondering how she would fit in to the story, and when we would see where her deepest allegiances lie

Aura is set to be politically versatile, but this “I sense a looming danger” is really dragged out of thing air.The obvious call would be the marbles, they want them so desperately that they maintain good relationship and butter up Freya as well because she managed to get Auras approval as well (for Zenjiro).
And, I’m sorry, but the church is painted here as the universal villain that is so strong and influential in the norhtern continent, and Freyas nations is said to be small and rather poor (and out of wood xD), unless you arm them with a division of nukes, having them as allies against the church in an open conflict would be suicide for all participants.
I can see the reasoning from those twin poopers, but … mh … meh. I don’t like them and like hell I’d trust them.
And the absolute absence of any church influence whatsoever so far is not helping that narrative much. Don’t get me wrong, I like it like that. I would absolutely hate scenes for the church people for no other reason than to “look we are evil we plan something soon muahahah”, but on the other hand, correct me if I’m wrong please, we have hundreds of years of absolutely nothing from the north towards the south, so why panic now of all times?
Mh.
