Here is a theory if the boy is in a cycle of repeating this “Thing” then that would mean this guy has been doing this for so long and this would lead to his sanity. So how long has he been doing this did he do this about 10 times, 100 times, 1000 times, or even maybe 10,000 times which would probs lead to his sanity? But reply to me if you think that my theory is correct or incorrect but if there are flaws to my theory plz tell me.
