ummm wtf is this a foreshadowing or was it supposed to happen in the og game. shit, this is confusing.
i have a small theory 
what if in the og game real shouta was bullied a lot and his love for her lead to him becoming the demon king and ended the story with a bad ending. And 7 players were summoned to stop the bad ending but out of full coincidence when mc choose random he was put in shouta’s body. like we can see that real shouta’s soul is strong enough to influence mc in times
The manga was an interesting read, but confusing at times. 
The dialogue can feel as if we should already we familiar with the story, like the mangaka assumed we all had already read the web or light novel.
Still, the plot was different enough from the majority of video game isekai that I’ll be back when the hiatus is over. 
Yeah, the transition from novel to manga did NOT go smoothly. I definitely need to go read the novel instead because this is just wonky.
