The writing is pretty peak, we love a thinking Luka
The whole setting is odd. So, we are at the stage of advanced spacefaring civilizations. And the Empire that’s gone full “Meklars Cybernauts” has an major technological edge over everyone else present. Especially they would have it in space ship combat. The heck would the Psilons, I mean Corra, even do to credibly oppose them in a space fleet battle? Casting magic spells shouldn’t cut it.
Yet, we have it: Empire (Meklars), Corra (Psilons), Federation (Earth), Mrsshans, Burlatti, etc. etc. all squished together to one planet. And we do know that the Empire, Corra and the Federation had their own planets… as all the non-human species present in the story must have had. So the question is: the heck happened for the status quo to be what it is?
Now, if we are going with the whole Master of Orion theme that the author seems to be partial to – it must be Antares…

So is barbara just a psycho genious who wants to be in control of jizel or it’s something deeper like it feels there is something more to this story
