just saying but i’m sure in everyway possible that guy would be a terrible king (at least for his citizens)! I mean instead of giving up and taking death which he knows is coming and is unpreventable he still choses to keep it up and let more soldiers die just because he wants to die a certain way? you can do that yourself just fine right now so why let more die for nothing? And not only the soldiers but citizens as well, mc isn’t letting them loot and stuff but if it was someone else i’m sure they would let them pillage the castle where a lot of innocent people would die/be raped/get al their lifes worth stolen or whatever they did when pillaging (i’m not good at that part of history)
Maybe i’m wrong and that is what good/most (future) kings did but i don’t think that’s the best option for all.
