wonder why the king is so stupid, her family can be a leverage, to blackmail, without fetter like family, she will be free and has a chance to become the ultimate killing machine without remorse, this just the king seeking his own death.
he can at least make them barely living to save the expense

Who could imagine that this is a much better way than abusing expository dialogue
