Blue Flame - Chapter 54

This was a good read. But bro. Everybody in this story is so retarded it physically hurts to get through. First off, the police in this might as well be cavemen with badges, actual mentally handicapped behavior. You roll up on two teenagers, bloodied, bruised, standing at the edge of a cliff, clearly in love, and radiating such obvious mutual-suicide energy that any sane person could smell it from a mile away. And this dumbass cop’s first move? Starts talking about prison and punishment like that’s the priority. My guy. In that scenario, the only logical thing to do is calm them down, tell them it’s alright, you’re here to help, we’ll get through this together. Obviously they’re gonna face consequences later, but that’s not what you lead with. You first secure the mentally ill kids and stop them from jumping. That’s step one. Everything else comes after.

Second, the MC’s dad and mom are also genuinely retarded. I’m putting 90% of the blame on the dad because that man is insane, but the mom isn’t off the hook either. She chose to date this psycho, and she knows he’s got deep insecurity issues and a traumatic past. So why the hell is she taking a car with that other guy to get back home? You know your husband is a lunatic. You know he’ll snap. Why even put yourself in that position? It’s literally asking for trouble. And on top of that, she’s having private little chats where this dude drops “I miss you” or some shit, and she doesn’t immediately report that to HR? Actually retarded. Zero common sense.

My only real gripe with the ending is that the pedo didn’t die. I think he’s still out there somewhere, which is disgusting. Should’ve visited his house first, put him down, then gone for the double suicide. And honestly, might as well have taken out the FM’s mother too while they were at it.

It looks like they survived the fall at the end? Kinda? I know it’s one of those “open to interpretation” cop-outs, but the probably survived.

Bro, I wish the author would just released one last chapter. MC wakes up, walks into FM’s family home, and merks every single one of them, the pedo included. Then my heart could finally be at peace. But alas. Didn’t happen.
