I think the whole point of blue lock is that its a story, just told from Isagi’s perspective, he isnt really the mc in that sense.
this isn’t a weak Mac story anymore, a weak Mac uses available resources in witty ways to overcome obstacles and cripple his opponents taking their scraps and slowly strengthening themselves isagi on the other hand feels like a 3rd grader who had to fill in for his big brothers game
everytime i think isagi gets better he restarts from square 1 like a damn retarded son of a bitch
Im honestly fine with a weak mc who has special ‘cheat’ skills or whatever, but you know its horribly bad that whenever they play a match you know exactly what’s going to happen. E.g. The mc is really weak, feels left behind, blah blah blah, powers up, and then wins or loses for character development…
it isnt a bad thing to see the mc as a side character, its a bad thing to see someone do the same thing over and over again. narrating some genius move/plan only for it to go completely south. this IS a recycled (weak) mc manga. I want to see the OTHERS narrate, train, and do stuff.
isn’t it a good thing to have the mc be a side character ? Yeah, he got nerfed, but I’m rooting for all the other characters as much as Isagi.
at this point, Kunigami is as much of a side character as Isagi.
And I won’t even talk about Barou who became a background character

I’m just gonna look at pictures and skim thru the scam player developments up until MC wakes the f up and Think No Jutsu some S tier move that boosts his B tier body.
I think it’s kinda logic that our MC can’t become the best rn, it’s because he had so much genius rival even on his team now, too much obstacle in bastard munchen environment should he handle first before he did his star quality job. If the plot make him to be the best as soon as what we want it’ll be a plot armor, then it’ll be not logic anymore. We already know that our MC was only a basic student who had big dreams to become the best striker in the world, he did have nothing since the beginning. Slowly he found his tallent, he made it sharp. He was proceed himself through this blue lock environment environment and this bastard munchen environment.. While we didn’t see anything hard on other’s environment.. Like bachira on barcha looks fine.. nagi, reo, n chigiri also got their less problem in England.. Everyone got the positive environment while our MC choose the really hard one as a basic player. So as a reader we have to be patient waiting for his character development. He said ‘he mid development’ just read and wait.. Enjoy the game.
