Why does the MC just leave the interview with spilling all the beans? She obviously wants something from him, why not just ask her “OK, now that you know, what will it cost me?”. Make a decision whether its worth staying or fleeing if they intend to enslave him because he has a unique power. You can’t negotiate if you don’t know the stakes and demonstrate you have leverage.
