What is the majority of authors obsession with fire?
Is it just ignorance of how the RL world works by author? Or is it just easier to draw fire filler panels vs ice… with reflective peoperties?
Eg: if you have magic… ice / cold is WAY BETTER and safer… slowing… reducing reaction time… slippery ground… dangerous spikes left behind by missed shots… or even aim at ground near enemy instead of needing direct hit… colder / more brittle.
Freezing them would leave materials more intact and preserved for better resale value… should i keep going?
ALL of these work BETTER with cold than heat…
Eg compressed liquid gas bullets instead of explosive…
