Wait, so they predicted where Astushi was going to land, got to that area in time to set out all those chaff bombs… and just sat around doing nothing while he ran for his life instead of coming to his aid?
They didn’t even have the chaff release until after his legs were blown off. Why didn’t they have a second person come to help him while the other set up the chaff? That seems less “faith” and more like “eh, this will probably work…this is our back-up plan, right?”
