just like that the series learns to let go. It’s established that even people with the strongest convictions are not safe from death and after a few chapters setting up a character, they just let her go. They use her death as character development for the mc and top knot while also using her life as a seasoned hunter for a deeper glimpse into the world. All of this only to show her life meant nothing in the crushing weight of this world… sad, but what an effective use of a character. most series use death just for motivation
