a) he isn’t close with the maid..?
b) why can’t he just run away anytime, like for example the last panel he can just jump down the cliff
c) why does he want to leave the cult in the first place. I thought he wanted to become the strongest to be completely free, and the cult is basically the best place for that
d) I thought he would know by now that his dad knows all, so ain’t no way the heavenly demon is letting him escape

i dont really understand what timing mc is going for like does it have to be some grand escape that people actually see? because he could just hop out right now (the last panel) and jump down the hill

MC just wants to be free without any burden or responsibility. Being in a cult, means your every action is accounted for and has consequences. Being free and roaming around is what MC wanted to do in his past life. So its understandable
