It’s good but it’s has parts to it a bit like if someone was showing off some fancy jewellery only to be told it’s fake, worthless and unimportant

example: the mc gets murdered by some interesting and unlikable people but after his death their introductions seem a bit pointless, like why were they even introduced? Because the mc doesn’t care about them at all, after. And also the fox that appears to be somewhat on par with the demon lord (or at least he acknowledged it’s strength) becomes the mc’s pet and it isn’t even shown to the leader. And we get the mc’s tragic backstory with his (former) partner hinted is at us only for everything to be show all at once a couple chapters later which was disappointing as the following flashbacks (assassinations) are less meaningful an only serves to show his misery which is already known.
the characters very much outshine the plot and the power progression isn’t well defined = oh your body deteriorated for six months? no problem 3 months later and you now have the body of a professional athlete …. Oh your weak? Go to this forest that makes you strong for 8 months. Oh you need to learn a demonic art to be a member of the demonic cult? No problem instead of learning one create your own which is a bazillion times more powerful.
