From what I can tell, the MC is transported into the body of the collector (the villain of this world) and he has no memories of the original body. We’re watching or MC go through this world without any knowledge but also some basic knowledge of a murim type of world. From chapter 6 it appears he meets and KS beginning to understand the original owner of the body.

The original body was a cultist leader who was eliminating foreign powers and basically corrupt people in high powers. There are apparently “natural” corruptions cleaned up by the (you guessed it right) cleaner association. he hid into this association which somehow brings us to chapter 6. I’m honestly not willing to put more effort into this acid trip.
