The Returned C-Rank Tank Won’t Die!

Contrary to what the comments below made it seem like, I actually thought this series was pretty decent, undeserving of a 3.7 star score at least. Not to be that guy, but I recon having a female mc is a lot less self-insert compatible than a male one which naturally makes it feel less interesting to read to a good chunk of people in this primarily male audience. Onto the actual story though:

The story is somewhat aimless a lot of the time, drifting from plot point to plot point without a clear path. While this isn’t bad in and of itself, this causes a lot of plot contrivances to progress the story without a clear thread connecting them. There is a general goal, but the way it gets to that goal feels retrospectively convoluted.
The characters themselves are mostly pretty one dimensional excluding 4, however I have come to appreciate these few a decent amount, with them having proper development…mostly. The main character has a really heavy underlying theme, however the story keeps perpetuating it, never allowing it to approach a full development, leading to repetitive internal monologues littered throughout. There is development, but it never feels as meaningful as it promises to be.
As to the actual story, it’s a perfect average in my opinion. The overarching story doesn’t do anything you never would’ve heard of but doesn’t do anything particularly badly either. It has its highs and lows, averaging to a perfect halfway point. It suffers though from the one-piece syndrome of no character ever dying past the first couple chapters, which while to be expected from a manhwa is a bit disappointing since death is constantly promised to the reader but never fulfilled.
In terms of entertainment factor, I thought it was great, plenty of hype fights and mc just aura farming like hell (I’m a sucker for crazy characters) with its fair share of funny moments. It definitely got me more enthralled then most other garbage on this website.

All in all, I think it amounts to a solid decent. Highly entertaining (to me at least, it is a pretty subjective trait), with a passable story and mostly likeable characters.
