While I can understand Reynolds having a gross loathing for Penelope, there is still something that he can’t grasp onto: she was brought into a home that was foreign to her. It is not Penelope’s fault for wanting to wish something that drastic. Yes, it sounds cruel and distasteful but she had also lost her mother and everything that she knew. A young girl with nowhere to go and no one to reach out to, only to be taken in against her wishes and living in a world that she knows nothing about.

She doesn’t deserve all the hate and mistreatment that is being dealt to her. Not from her ‘brothers’ and ‘father’ and more certainly not from the staff. Penelope is in her right to behave the way she wishes. You get what you give. If they despise her as much as they display it, then I don’t understand as to why they just don’t let her go and fend for herself. No matter what the ‘shadow’ that has taken place of someone in your life, you cannot place fault on them. If Reynolds should be angry at anyone, it should be his father. He’s the reason for causing so much pain. He brought in Penelope to fill in the void that Yvonne had created after her disappearance. I do hope that ‘Penelope’ gives them everything that they deserve and multiply that by ten. They deserve so much karma for treating ‘her’ and the original Penelope so horridly.
