Chapter 14.1) 7/10. Cool sword 
Ummmm, this chapter makes no sense. Again he has tried to go technical without the details and it has just come out wrong. By the looks (and I could be wrong here), is that it did not have the right carbon content so he added extra but if that was true then he could have easily done it without the extra metal. Also his magical sight would have seen that instantly that it was not right. If he needed to add magic then he could already do that. Maybe he has tried to make a semi-Damascus sword? He already mentioned that the equipment is the same (as he thought the hammer was different but its not). Okay when I dumped all the technical stuff and reread the chapter, turns out in a single frame in this chapter, he did not apply enough magic cause he was too nervous or focused on said blade, so could not add enough magic to the longsword.
Ah so the forge at home is doing 30% of the work.
