i said last episode that this story has a heavy cyberpunk undertone to it AND BOY WAS I RIGHT 
its like if u took a futuristic dystopian punk story, add a lot of futuristic elemental aspects, give the main character a chronic feeling of emptiness (loneliness, drug abuse, economic struggle), but mash it up in a blender but replace the main ingredient of techno scifi with magic fantasy, and BOOM u get this goldmine right here
