I’m wondering why they won’t just start working for Mc? He can use their strength especially with a war brewing and them having extensive knowledge about the forces on the 10th floor on top of being outrageous strong. They aren’t doing it for fun but survival and Mc can gurantee that far easier and he would treat them well. Apart from maybe a contract binding them there would be no problems and the contract can be renegotiated with the merchant group

it’s silly. this type of thing shouldn’t work in a story THIS seriously dark and twisted, but it does lighten it a lot. nice balance.
