That rat… He was pretty sympathetic before, but his faction launched a rebellion against the human baron who treated them kindly, gave them the respect they deserved, and gave them luxury when it was well within his right to execute them all for attacking him in the first place, just to go and grovel to the first noble they come across, which they claim is the reason for their “revolution” in the first place.

The rat rebellion arc never garnered sympathy from me. A weak prey-monster seeking independence through a violent rebellion, frankly, is a contrived plot. Those rats stand no chance against a developed Naga army, and they only arguably had a chance at the beginning of the labrynth when there were like 3 soldiers.
Rebellion makes no sense over defection considering the power-difference, and it’s hard to justify a moral high-ground when they are trying to bite the hand that feeds them instead of pursuing other options.
