Dungeon Odyssey - Chapter 163

Though I get some maybe disliking how much this manhwa often sidelines the mc/doesn’t give him any screen time for multiple chapters at a time, I personally really love it for that!
Like often in war arcs I don’t feel much, because most of the time in more generic stories

1. I don’t particularly care for any characters other than mc in general, because they lack character and weren’t properly introduced/established beforehand.
2. Even when I care for the characters, nowadays I feel like authors aren’t really brave enough to kill off character with any kind of personality at all, which means I don’t even have to fear anything.
3. Oftentimes we only get the aftermath at the end of the fights, which take the bit of suspense I could have felt. Like instead of showing the side characters actually fighting and struggling, we only see the start and end of the battle (after which the probably lost, just for mc to come to the rescue), but no of their actual thoughts and actions, which would make them interesting.

I just feel like War arcs are unfortunately often just used to have the mc aurafarm and show off his strength without many actual consequences and thought put into the other aspects of war, like strategizing and potentially rouge soldiers and sudden unplanned obstacles like how they do it in this.
Idk I just really love also focusing on the other characters like this, especially since it really works for me, because I genuinely don’t want those two to die, but I know the author would do it.
+ Though mc does occasionally come to the rescue of other characters, he isn’t everywhere at once and though roughly know what he is doing, we can not know if he’ll be there in time, come there at all to help (not to mention not actually knowing the timeline of some of the scenes we see)
